Once engine oil comes out of a vehicle, it falls under the hazardous waste rules. This means, among other things:
You must store the oil in approved, leak-proof drums or tanks.
Disposal must be registered through the National Waste Notification Point (LMA).
Only authorized collectors may transport and process this type of waste.
