Motorsport often begins at a young age. For many drivers, the junior class is the first real step towards a future in motorsports. This also applies to Annalin, the daughter of our colleague Menno, who is competing in the NOV Autospeedway Lelystad Junior class this season.
At Koeweit Oil Trade, we like to support young talent. Therefore, together with PURAGLOBE, we are proud sponsors of Annalin during her autospeedway season.
What is the NOV Autospeedway Lelystad Junior class?
The junior class of NOV Autospeedway Lelystad is specifically designed for young drivers aged 11 and up. Many successful autospeedway drivers once started in this class.
The setup is not just about speed, but mainly about control, technique, discipline and safety. Here, young people learn motor racing under controlled conditions and build up experience step by step.
The rules within the class are intentionally strict to keep racing safe and fair.
Thus, it is driven with:
- Series production cars older than five years
- Cars officially delivered in the Netherlands
- Engines up to a maximum of 1049cc
- Up to four cylinders
- No turbos or all-wheel drive
- No semi-automatic transmissions or locking differentials
In addition, the cars must remain largely standard except for parts that are modified for driver safety.
Motor racing is about more than speed
What makes autospeedway special is that young drivers learn early on to deal with responsibility, technique and focus. It takes guts not only on the track, but also discipline off it.
For many participants, it is a sport where teamwork is key. Behind each car is a group of people working together to prepare, maintain and support.
We also recognize this within our own organization. In both motorsport and business, it's all about trust, cooperation and continuing to develop.
Koeweit Oil Trade and PURAGLOBE support young talent
As an organization, we operate daily within the automotive and industrial sectors. Motorsports therefore fits well with the passion that many colleagues and associates share.
Therefore, Koeweit Oil Trade and PURAGLOBE are proud to support Annalin's participation in the NOV Autospeedway Lelystad Junior class.
We wish her good luck, safe races and, most of all, lots of fun during the season.
