From new colleague to committed team member with ambition
Bas Steeman has been working in our intake and registration department for some time now. In this position he combines work in the office with tasks in the depot. What struck him from the beginning at Koeweit Oil Trade? The space you get to take responsibility and really contribute. “You get responsibility and independence from the beginning. That really gives me the feeling that I am seen as a full colleague,” he says.
It is important to Bas that he not only does executive work, but also gets to contribute his ideas. Whether it's small process improvements or thinking along about customer-oriented work - he actively looks for ways to add value.
He also looks forward to getting to know the entire process of waste collection and disposal well. In the future, he hopes to advance to a role as a representative: a position in which he can advise customers on responsible disposal of, for example waste oil, coolant or brake fluid.
First impression: open, human and professional
What Bas has especially remembered from his first weeks is the atmosphere: open, approachable and with an eye for each other. This immediately made it clear to him that he was in the right place at Koeweit Oil Trading.
